Workshop Venue

The workshop was held in the Convention Center of the Hotel do Bosque at Angra dos Reis, 2 hours and half (210 km) from Rio de Janeiro. The Hotel is located between two touristic cities: Angra dos Reis (50km), with many islands and beaches and Parati (43km), an old colonial village with its preserved architecture.

Geographical Location

The Hotel do Bosque is located at Angra dos Reis, 2 hours far by car from the Rio de Janeiro city. The location is easily accessible  to a large fraction of the brazilian astronomical community and to the foreign attenders that will arrive at the Rio de Janeiro international airport.

Weather information

In November the temperatures at Angra dos Reis ranges from 20 to 27 degrees Celsius (68 - 81 F). Good weather is expected this time of the year but strong thunderstorms can happen in the evenings due to the proximity of the summer and increasing of the daily evaporation.
