Title: Galactic giant HII regions and NIFS

Abstract:

We will present results from NIFS observations obtained at Gemini North using Altair in NGS mode for several visually obscured Galactic giant HII regions. These data show rich emission-line spectra and are also used to probe photospheres of emergent massive stars in the embedded clusters associated with the HII regions.
