Title: The central 200 parsecs of active galaxies from the NIR emission point of view

Abstract:

We present results for a survey of 52 active galactic nuclei aimed at studying the emission line and continuum properties of these objects. Our sample includes two cantidates to polar ring galaxies observed with GNIRS, where firm evidence of the presence of an active galactic nuclei has been obtained. The spatial resolution of our data allows us to map emission line flux ratio variations up to distances of 500 pc. With the help of ionization models, we found that a shock component is necessary in order to explain the presence of nuclear and extended coronal lines.
