Bruno Vaz Castilho de Souza

has graduation in Astronomy by Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1992), master in Astronomy by Universidade de São Paulo (1995) , Ph.D. in Astronomy by Universidade de São Paulo (1999) and Postdoctorate by Universidade de São Paulo (2000) .

Titular researcher at Laboratório Nacional de Astrofí­sica.

Has experience in the area of Astronomy, with emphasis on Stellar Astrophysics, including Stellar populations and Chemical abundances by high resolution spectroscopy. Has also experience in Astronomical instrumentation, specially in design and development of spectrographs.
