Título: BVI optical photometry of 4 intermediate-age stellar clusters in the Small Magellanic Cloud

Resumo: In the present proposal we intend to observe 4 relatively bright stellar clusters in the SMC with 3 optical filters. There is very little information about these 4 clusters so far, but they are suspected to be intermediate-age clusters (3-10 Gyr). It means that they can provide important constraints in the age-metallicity relation during a period when the Magellanic Clouds probability evolved almost isolated and for which there is an almost absence of stellar clusters in the LMC. Colour-magnitude diagrams (CMDs) will be built for each object and its neighbouring field. By means of CMD modelling and statistical comparisons between model and data we will determine the fundamental physical parameters (age, metallicity, distance, mass function, etc) for each cluster and recover the star formation history for its local field population.
