Título: Investigation of the magnetic field effect in the photometric variability of white dwarfs

Resumo: Magnetic fields are one of the most intriguing characters in the astrophysical context. From the whole myriad of main sequence stars in the Milky Way, about 95\% will one day become a white dwarf. However, over 10\% of those will come out imerged in an intense magnetic field. Yet, these are the objects providing the Universe with one of the reachest and most exciting physical scenarios found by scientific research. The perfect laboratories for extreme physics experiments. So the comprehension of the dynamics and properties of magnetic fields is certainly of astronomical importance. However, many of its tricks is yet unknown to the eyes of science, once calculations become extremely dificult when a magnetic field is involved. Having this in mind, we started this project to study the effects of the magnetic field in the observed photometric variability of a sample of stars.
